School Crafts

Every week Abigael is bringin home hew things that she made in preschool. We try and put them up on the fridge to show we love them, but lately there are so many!! Our fridge was full of beautiful artwork and new pieces were still coming in so we've had to start cycling them through :) Abigael loves to go back and look at what she's made. She always points out what colors there are and the shapes she sees. She is learning a lot at school and does much better in the mornings when I drop her off now. There is no more crying as I leave!! YAY!!

The Waco Zoo

While we were visiting Waco for Eliana's birthday, we all went to the zoo together. Abigael was happy to see Nana Dobbie. She held her hand for a little while as we walked around (big deal for her!) and for days afterward was asking for her Nana! Even nowadays, if she's in trouble she'll ask for all the people that aren't mommy and daddy, and Nana is one of the first ones to come up :) Abigael loves going to the zoo to see all the animals. Sometimes though, Shane and I aren't sure if she understands that the animals are real and not just pictures like on TV. Still she likes to yell at the animals to Wake Up and play with her!

A Visit to Waco for Eliana's Birthday

Of course this is a little late of a post, but I wanted to get a couple of the cute pictures up of Eliana's birthday in Waco. Abigael had tons of fun with the other kids there. She seems to really love playing with others whenever she gets the chance. Abigael and Ethan always love being around each other, it's like they know they are related. Abigael of course wanted to see all of the toys once they were open and try them all out. We had lots of fun seeing everyone while we were up there for the day, we wish we could have spent more up there but with two little ones now it much more difficult spending the night places :)

Sisters!!

Here are some cute pictures of Abigael and Adaline together. Abigael loves to hold her sister and tries to help us out whenever she can. She loves to hold the bottle for us or find her pacifier and hold it in Adaline's mouth. We haven't seen any kind of jealousy come through from Abigael so we are hoping that continues!

I love that our girls are going to be so close in age because I hope that will help them be closer friends and sisters as they grow. I'm sure they are going to be stealing each other's clothes and boyfriends before I know it :)

Abigael's 1st Day of Preschool

This fall Abigael is starting a preschool program on MW&Fs!! It's a full day program full of activities for her to do. Monday was her first day and she did great. She didn't cry at all when I dropped her off and seemed excited to be there. Her class has 9 other kids in it, both boys and girls. In addition to all the activities, stories, and other playtime, the school actually introduces potty training to the kids! They take them to the potty every couple of hours and has them wear pull-ups instead of diapers. I can't wait to see what Abigael does with this. Stay tuned for updates :)

Here are some pictures of her before school and after with her craft she made!!

Josh and Michal's visit to SA!!

We were so happy to have my brother Josh, his wife Michal, and their kids, Ethan and Eliana to visit over Abigael's birthday weekend. We haven't had a chance to see them since March so it was really special for them to visit us all the way from Dallas! Ethan and Eliana are getting so big so fast, I wish that we could see them more often.
Abigael and Ethan really took to each other very quickly. They were playing together within minutes of them coming through the door. It was so cute to watch them chase after eachother and even color together! And little Eliana was doing her best to keep up with the big kids as well as she could :)

Abigael's Birthday Party!

As everyone knows, Abigael's birthday was a couple Sunday's ago and we had a great party up in Austin at Great Uncle David's house. It turned out really great and everything went off without a hitch. Abigael actually blew out all of her candles on the cake too! She was really cute all dressed in her Minnie Mouse outfit with matching shoes provided by Nana Dobson. Here are some pictures...for more check out our Flickr site. Thanks so much to Oma Daisy who helped make it a memorable and wonderful day :)

Return to the forgotten blog...

Well hello again.

Sorry for the long break from posts, but other things were a bigger priority for us...aka the new baby Adaline, my school, Shane's busy job, and lets not forget the tornado two year old called Abigael.

But now that I'm not going back to school this semester, I'm hoping to have more time to devote to this blog so you all can see pictures of Adaline and Abigael as they are getting bigger.

So check back now and again to see updates on the Ohara home :)

Love you all.

Halloween Fun!!

Hey Everyone! Sorry this is a little late but I wanted to be sure to let everyone get a look at our little ladybug from Halloween! We got her all dressed up and headed out to a church Halloween Fair put on by a great church our friends attend. They had so much to do there for the kids. There was a train to ride, horses to pet and ride on, and lots of games and candy for people of all ages :)

Abigael loves watching people so this was definitely the thing to do. She was a little cranky since she didn't nap that afternoon, but I think the excitement of the people and her sugar high kept her going strong. And it's always great when kids are at an age where the best entertainment is not the ride with the long line, but something as simple as playing in the rocks by the swing set!! Haha :)

Abigael tried a game where you were supposed to toss little hacky sacks into a pocket, but she just walked right up and dropped the sack into the pocket! She thought this was the best thing ever. She did it over and over again maybe 4-5 times. She also played a game where you were supposed to pick out the lollipop with the dot on the end of the stick for a prize. I think she just liked pulling all the suckers out of their spots :)

But I think she really enjoyed it, and by the time we got home she was out like a light and ready for bed! We all had lots of fun.
