Halloween Fun!!

Hey Everyone! Sorry this is a little late but I wanted to be sure to let everyone get a look at our little ladybug from Halloween! We got her all dressed up and headed out to a church Halloween Fair put on by a great church our friends attend. They had so much to do there for the kids. There was a train to ride, horses to pet and ride on, and lots of games and candy for people of all ages :)

Abigael loves watching people so this was definitely the thing to do. She was a little cranky since she didn't nap that afternoon, but I think the excitement of the people and her sugar high kept her going strong. And it's always great when kids are at an age where the best entertainment is not the ride with the long line, but something as simple as playing in the rocks by the swing set!! Haha :)

Abigael tried a game where you were supposed to toss little hacky sacks into a pocket, but she just walked right up and dropped the sack into the pocket! She thought this was the best thing ever. She did it over and over again maybe 4-5 times. She also played a game where you were supposed to pick out the lollipop with the dot on the end of the stick for a prize. I think she just liked pulling all the suckers out of their spots :)

But I think she really enjoyed it, and by the time we got home she was out like a light and ready for bed! We all had lots of fun.

Babysitting w/ 2 girls!!

It's always great when we can get Abigael and Kaitlyn together to play, and we got the chance a couple of weekends ago babysitting for Josh and Krista! If Shane and I ever wanted a taste of what it would be like if we had twin toddlers, this was it!! The girls are practically on the same schedule so it was interesting trying to get them both fed and bathed and ready for bed all at the same time :) But they both survived and had such a great time together.

For some reason, when they were playing in Abigael's room, all they both wanted was to be inside the crib. So we put them in there and they both just started running around and bouncing. Shane was having fun making them laugh by tickling them through the bars. We finally had to take them out and that was not what they wanted. Both girls immediately started ganging up on us to put them back in! So we did and left them alone for a while. We could hear them giggle and talking to each other, it was adorable!

Pumpkin Patch!

A couple of weekends ago, we all went to the pumpkin patch with our friends Josh, Krista, and their daughter Kaitlyn. Abigael and Kaitlyn get along pretty well (when Abigael isn't pushing Kaitlyn over...) and Krista has been such a good friend to me so it's great that we were able to do something all of us together. She told me about this pumpkin patch that they had found last year. It was really cute. They had lots of pumpkins and little areas set up for pictures.

Abigael was in love with this place. She was so attracted to the pumpkins and kept trying to pick them up...even though I'm pretty sure they weighed more than she does!! Sadly though, it was super hot! The poor girls were both red faced and thirsty so we couldn't stay too long. But we stayed long enough to pick out a couple of pumpkins for Shane and I to carve, and even Abigael got a tiny little pumpkin to take home with her.

New room decor!!

Well not a total transformation or anything, but we finally got everything put up in Abigael's room. We still had some stuffed animals to put up in the corner and some frames but the newest thing is the artwork I made for her. I bought the letters of her name and painted them all different ways. Each letter is something different, but together they look pretty good. It really adds something to her room too. Now where ever we are she'll have her room and now it's labeled and claimed :) haha...It took me about a week to finish them all, but I'm really proud that I made her something that she'll have forever and know that Mama made them or her.

I also finally finished her baby blanket!! This is huge to me. I started it while I was pregnant with her and just now got around to finishing it. It seems to be a perfect time too, because we are starting to put a blanket in her crib with her now so gets used to it more. I never thought of myself a a crafty person, but these two projects were really special to me and I'm so glad they are done.

Cute Girlie Hair!!

So Abigael's hair is starting to get a little fuller and a little longer (at least in the back) so I decided to see if we could do a hairstyle and this is what we came up with :) Pig-Tails!! She looks so old and almost like a 4 year old or something. here are some pictures...

What's this on my head??
Such a goofy little girl...and cute!!

New link

Until we get a new permanent website address, our blog will be here: http://shaneandjamieohara.blogspot.com/

FYI...

Just to let everyone who reads this know, we aren't going to renew this website (shane-o.net) and our year runs out today! So we will be finding a new site to publish our blog on but it will be down for a while. We aren't sure how long it will be down but don't worry, it will rise again :)

We'll send out a link to either your email or we'll post it on one of your blogs when we get one!

Thanks for understanding <3

New photos on Flickr

Shane and I just wanted to let everyone know that we have just put up a lot of new photos of Abigael on our Flickr page.

You can see all of the photos from the posts and many others in the September folder.

Happy Viewing!

Another trip to the park

The weather here in San Antonio has finally taken a dive, much to my relief! It was actually only 78 degrees today...quite chilly for Texas natives ;) So Abigael and I decided to take advantage of the "cool" air and walked down to our little neighborhood park.

Abigael looked like a little kindergartner with her jeans a sneakers on. I must stop dressing her like that because then she is just growing up too fast!

She did have lots of fun though wandering around the area picking up the mulch and climbing on what she could reach. We did some swinging but I don't think she is as impressed with the swinging anymore. She'd much rather be walking, running, falling...anything where she has some freedom!

Bronco Game!!

This past Sunday was of course a Football Sunday! That means I get to watch all the football I could possibly want in one day :) Shane was still working, so he only got to hear my shouts and boos from upstairs...lucky him!

Abigael and I were up early and fully prepared to watch our Broncos kick some serious Charger butt. First we did a quick outing to whole foods for the weekly groceries, but Abigael was already decked out in her Broncos jersey. She got quite a few comments from people about how cute she was. Then it was home to cheer our team on.

We've taught Abigael how to throw her arms up in the air whenever we yell "Touchdown"!! She hears it once and immediately has her arms way up high :) I'll have to try and get in on film next week. But here are some pictures of Mommy and Abigael in our Bronco gear.

Saturday Fun!

Well as everyone knows, this past weekend was when Hurricane Ike was supposed to hit San Antonio, but of course it didn't!! We are definitely not complaining, but it would have been nice to see some cooler weather. Shane is super busy right now with his school work, he's in his last few classes and I know for sure he can't wait to be finished! He spent the whole weekend trying to get ahead but made sure to take some much needed breaks with Abigael and me.

We all took a nice walk to a nearby neighborhood park. It was finally below 90 degrees so it was actually a pretty nice day. I was hoping that there were going to be swings at the park because I know how much Abigael likes them, but this must have been the only park without them :) Still Abigael was able to spend the time having fun. She is much smaller than the playground is meant for, but it didn't stand in her way! She climbed up many of the structures all by herself. Shane and I couldn't believe how strong she was. It was a lot of fun and we'll absolutely be going back.

After our fun at the park, it was time for a needed Abigael nap. While she was napping I was doing things around the house listening to music on my iPod so I wouldn't bother Shane. Abigael loves my iPod and tries to get a hold of it whenever she can. Once she woke up and saw that I had it out, she was all over me to get it! Shane got the headphones to stay on her head and she was happy to show us a little dance. Abigael loves music and shows us her dance whenever it is playing :)
